My American Accent

So, its saturday night and we decide to take a stroll... we heard of this romanian bar - restaurant - dancing place and we decided to go... i fancied a nice romanian food and Bibi was looking forward to a good Ursus beer.

Dancing some rueda romana and watching Italy play at the same time in the big screen t.v. seemed a different outing to our normal London ones.

In a bar full of romanian people, romanina music, romanian decor, and romanian everything, the last thing i expected to find was a scotish old bloke. I thought for a second i would be the only foreigner in such a place.

He looks at me and starts a convesation. Good for Bibi he could watch the game while i was left to socialize. He was a very nice middle aged man, no front teeth, just a black gap to show when he smiled and obviously i was the only one there who would have the patience to explain what was going on around him. I didnt understand much of what he said, since the accent is a little tough for me. But what the heck, we had a nice time!

The owner then comes and gives him a plate and tells him to try some tipical romanian sausages. He looks at me like "what the heck is this".

"These are called mici", i tell him.
"What???", he cant understand my american accent.
"Mici, that the name of the sausages you are about to eat", i say.
"Sorry?", still not understanding
"They are called mici", signaling and repenting the fact that i had wanted to show off for starters.
He then looks at Bibi and back at me and he whispers in my ear "That you want to go with me????", with a big grin marking his face...
"WHAT????, NOOOOOOOOO... JAJAJA!", my answer was. It was just to hilarious for me. I had to laugh, loud! "No sir, i am trying to explain that those sausages you are about to eat are called mici in Romania".
"Oh, ssshhhorry ma'dear... jaja!"
I ask, "by the way, how did you end up here?"
"I just walked past, but ill sure be coming back".

Jaja!
